Edmund T. (Tom) Johnson was born December 28, 1940 to Edmund R. and Helen E. (Mundy) Johnson. He liked to say that he was born in the basement of the bar in North Lewiston. He passed away on August 8, 2017 at Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’ Alene, surrounded by his family.
Tom served in the US Navy from 1959 through 1962. He married Edna (Jean) Kennedy on March 16, 1971. Jean preceded him in death on December 22, 2013. He is survived by daughters, Teri (Kori) Kili, Lori Breazeal, Sherry Johnson; son, David Johnson; sister, Donna Kislig; and nephew Richard Swanson; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Tom was known to be tough as nails, stubborn, and had a very distinctive voice - heard above the crowd. He loved a really good joke and had a contagious laugh. His greatest joy was golfing.
He retired from Advanced Hydraulics of Nampa, Idaho in 2011 after being employed there for nearly 30 years. He moved to Coeur d’ Alene in 2014 to be near his sister and enjoy his retirement.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. At his request there will be no service.
