Allan Ray Gibson passed away peacefully on March 17, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas after a long struggle with dementia.
Allan was born in Richmond, Indiana on December 24, 1932 to Charles and Helen Gibson.
After serving three years in the Marine Corp he worked as a landscape gardener in California, Arizona and Wyoming before settling in Coeur d'Alene,
Allan is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Chuck and Carole, and two sisters Arlene Lorenz, and Marilyn Urban.
Allan is survived by his wife of 40 years Phyllis Thompson Gibson in Wichita Falls, Texas. Son Kenneth Gibson, his wife Magy and sons Joseph and Mark all of Boise. Son Kevin Gibson, Honolulu, Hawaii. Grandson Christopher Jackson, Coeur d'Alene. Granddaughter Mia Ciccone, Coeur d'Alene. Sister Waneta Siems, Prattville, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday July 20, 2017 at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 North Government Way, Coeur d'Alene. The service will be followed with light refreshments and visiting at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 North 5th Street, Coeur d'Alene. Yates Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
